E.P. Brew Co. Product Information

EP Brew Co. was started by Nick Ewing-Pistelak in early October 2008, with a mail order home brewing kit from from midwestsupplies.com and some fresh ingredients from american home brewing supply located in kearny mesa, CA. The first batch of beer was a California Golden ale and was brewed on October 2, 2008 in Nick's kitchen. Our brewing equipment and bottling supplies allow us to make 5 gallon batches at a time and can ferment up to a total of 15 gallons at any given time. Most of the consumable supplies are purchased online, but the actual ingredients for the brewing process are obtained locally here in San Diego, CA to ensure the freshest ingredients are used. This allows us to have access to the ingredients and advice whenever the call for making beer is answered. Nick's Friends, Alex and Ish became interested in homebrewing and decided to become a part of the EP Brew Crew on October 14, 2008. Ishmael Santoyo has been a friend of Nicks's since 1999 when they met at roundtable pizza in Santee, CA. Alex Marino has been a family friend since elementary school, well over 18 years.Without good friends, beer brewing would be a lot more difficult and time consuming then it already is. It takes a minimum of a month for each beer to become carbonated and drinkable. We care about a quality product and invest lots of time, energy and money into each bottle of our homebrew.
